How to help the campaign

Want to support the campaign but not sure where to start ? no problem, here's a list of ways you can help :

1. Tell all your friends about the web site and Facebook cause either by email, text, instant messaging or word of mouth

2. Remember to email the contacts shown on the Home page

3. If you are a member of another social networking site or forum which other Horsham residents use then add a link back to this websites home page (let me know where you've put links just so I can keep track of which sites/networks are aware of the campagin)

4. If you are at school in Horsham pester you teachers to get involved in the campaign (well ask them nicely to tell your class all about it!)

Feeling a bit more adventurous ?

5. Print out a 'www.SaveHorshamTownHall.co.uk' banner and stick it on one of your house windows so its visible to passers by on road and foot

6. Print out a 'www.SaveHorshamTownHall.co.uk' banner and stick it on one of your car windows (safety note : don't place it on the front window or any side windows which wind down. If you place it on the rear window only put it at the very top or bottom of the window and make sure it doesn't obscure your view. Finally if you have a heated rear window take care attaching it so whatever you use to attach it doesn't touch the heating element)

Really want to get into the campaigning spirit ?

7. Make your own T-shirt promoting the campaign and wear it in and around Horsham and to local events

Hears what you'll need :

T-Shirt - plain white is best, if you haven't got a spare one then buy a cheap one from Tescos/M&S/Asda. This should cost no more than £5

Iron on transfer paper for inkjet printers - usually comes in packs of 5 to 7 sheets and again should cost about £5 a pack (http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.100-3960.aspx)

PC and Inkjet printer - if you don't own one you probably know someone who does, go around and borrow it!

An Iron! (kids : get your parents to do this bit!)

A design for your T Shirt. This should probably include a picture of the Town Hall (there's one ready for printing on the pictures page) and the web site name as well as a few words about the campaign. For those of you who want to get straight into printing and skip the design stage i've attached an example front and back T-shirt design  (in Word format - if your producing kids T-shirts check it fits on the T-shirt before you print!) :

T-shirt front

T-shirt back

If you want to cut costs, get together with your friends and buy a pack of T-shirts, share the transfer paper and only print on one side! Alternatively grab a laundry marker pen and write your own T-shirt.

Remember to read the instructions that come with the transfer paper carefully - when your printing text for a T-shirt you will need to print it in mirror image otherwise it wont be readable on your T-shirt (you'll find this setting in your printers properties page).

Here's what the finished results could look like (as you can see i'm wearing this in the 'its still to cold to just wear a T-shirt mode') :

The T-shirt I used above cost £3 from QS in Horsham.
